Hi, I’m Roz Clarke. And this is a little bit about my life journey…
When I was a little girl I wanted to be a nurse with the white cap or veil, mostly because I was sensitive to others’ feelings and I loved to look after people. Learning was a real struggle for me and I was always scared of being dumb.
When I left school I was still frightened, although I was very good at covering it up. I wore many ‘masks’. My confident mask was very important; it told everyone that I could do anything.
For the first six months after I left school I wanted to disappear and I stayed in bed between parties and family duties. I soon married a lovely farmer and had two boys 13 months apart, so my hands and heart were full for a time. Although I had given up on my dream to be a nurse, my desire to look after people was still there and my spirit was strong.
At some point I acknowledged this yearning and began to learn about people’s behavior, including mine as a mum. It led me to a course in Social Biology with the Melbourne University Social Biology Unit, where I helped design a book for teenagers on sex education. I went on to study Parent Effectiveness Training and I was asked to teach parents the course. This was the real beginning.
My soul was ignited and I was on a mission.
I moved on to become a Counsellor and then later studied Rebirthing, Psychotherapy, NLP, Hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy TM.
It was at this juncture in my life, 25 years ago, that I realized that I was nursing people’s hearts and souls. It was a real ‘ah ha’ moment! I studied and worked on myself and learned how to take responsibility for my life and the choices I made. I was able to claim my life and I became excited and curious about the possibilities out there.
My turn had come to create and inspire; to transform and heal the hearts, minds and souls of others. For more than 25 years I have been privileged to work with hundreds of clients and watch them transform their lives to achieve the confidence, success, love and joy they deserve.
